The aim of this course is to provide authorised persons the knowledge and understanding of the safe and effective management of medical gas systems installed in healthcare premises (HTM02-01).
- Introduction to HTM 02-01
- Statutory obligations and other guidance
- Gas safety and safe system operation;
- Design and installation requirements;
- Effective system management using the Permit to Work System
- Management of Competent Person’s work and contracts;
- Auditing and reporting on system compliance, capacity and limitations
- Risk analysis and prioritisation of remedial actions.
- Dealing effectively with emergencies
- Testing and quality control requirements.
- Operational policy preparation, implementation and monitoring
This course is aimed at delegates whom are Suitably qualified staff with management responsibility for medical gas systems, particularly those who are/or will be appointed as an Authorised Person (AP) for medical gases, or contractors’ staff acting as project managers and seeking to meet the training requirements of HTM 02-01.
